diaLIMS is an application that can be used on a PC under Windows, Linux or MacOS.
One or more servers in a high-performance infrastructure are required for operation. In order for the application to function smoothly, the company's IT department must fulfil a number of prerequisites - not always an easy task to solve.
diaLIMS Software as a Service (SaaS) - this means that the software and the necessary IT infrastructure are operated by dialog EDV as an IT service provider and used by the customer as a service. The set-up and operation, including all administrative tasks, are outsourced and the service recipient can concentrate on its core business.

How does diaLIMS.SaaS work?
If you opt for our diaLIMS.SaaS, the implementation project in your company does not begin with the installation of the software on your own server systems and workstation PCs, as is usually the case. Instead, you get immediate access to your ready-to-use diaLIMS system in the cloud.
We install and configure the diaLIMS programme environment and databases on a virtual server in the diaLIMS cloud. The scope of each diaLIMS cloud server environment is individually adjustable and can be expanded and optimised at any time in the future. We will work with you to agree the exact specifications and configuration of your server environment in our cloud.
You can then use diaLIMS as a remote app on your PCs. The only requirement is up-to-date Internet access.
Security
Security is a fundamental principle in the diaLIMS cloud. Data protection comes first - without compromise. Many aspects play a role here: compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and all other directives, server locations in Germany and the EU, access controls, encryption and access controls. All these points and more are guaranteed in the diaLIMS cloud.
The cloud servers are provided in compliance with important legal compliance regulations and industry-standard guidelines (ISO 9001, ISO 27001, etc.). You can access your diaLIMS in the cloud according to your own security requirements. Access can be secured via VPN or two-factor authentication.
Backups of all your data are generated automatically in accordance with the jointly agreed backup plan.
Performance
The diaLIMS cloud is a highly available system. Downtimes due to infrastructure or operating system updates are not to be expected. An availability of 99.995% is guaranteed. You have full access to your diaLIMS at all times.
State-of-the-art hardware is used to host the diaLIMS cloud server. The resources to be used can be customised and configured. diaLIMS cloud servers offer the highest possible performance for the application and the database.
The diaLIMS cloud servers are connected to the Internet with the best possible performance. If your company has a modern internet connection, there is nothing to stop you from using diaLIMS in the cloud. Fast access to diaLIMS is also possible with a current mobile data connection (4G or higher).
